This policy describes what information AvoTech Consulting LLC ("AvoTech", "we", "us") collects when you visit our website, fill out our intake form, or engage us for services, and how we handle that information.

1. What We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to serve you:

Contact form submissions: name, email, phone (if provided), the content of your message, and the date/time submitted.
Intake questionnaire responses: the project scoping information you provide when booking a service.
Account information (if you purchase): billing name, billing address, and payment details are collected and processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Analytics data: anonymous website usage (pages visited, referrer, device type, approximate location, session duration) collected via Google Analytics 4.
Server logs: standard web-server access logs maintained by our hosting provider (Bluehost) including IP address, user agent, and request paths. Retained per Bluehost's policy.

2. What We Don't Collect

We don't run cross-site advertising trackers, sell data to data brokers, or place cookies beyond what's needed for analytics and (if you book) session continuity. We don't have a mobile app, and we don't build hidden profiles of individual visitors.

3. How We Use It

To respond to your inquiry or deliver the services you've booked.
To send you project updates, invoices, and (if you opt in) periodic emails about AvoTech work.
To understand which pages and topics visitors find useful, via aggregated analytics.
To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

We do not use your information to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell your data.

4. Third-Party Services We Rely On

The following services may receive data when you interact with AvoTech. Each has its own privacy policy and its own data-handling practices:

Bluehost — web hosting and email delivery for avotechconsulting.com.
Stripe — payment processing for service bookings.
Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 for site usage metrics, Google Workspace for email inbox delivery.
LinkedIn — if you authorize us to post on your behalf or connect via LinkedIn's OAuth flow.

5. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for session continuity where needed, and Google Analytics sets standard measurement cookies. You can block these via your browser settings without breaking site functionality.

6. Your Rights

You can request the following at any time, free of charge:

A copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction of any inaccurate information.
Deletion of your information from our active records (subject to business-records retention requirements described below).
To unsubscribe from any email list we maintain.

7. Data Retention

We keep project records (intake responses, deliverables, correspondence) for seven (7) years after engagement close, consistent with business-records requirements. Marketing and contact-form leads with no follow-up engagement are purged after two (2) years. Stripe payment records are retained by Stripe per their own policy.

8. Security

We use HTTPS across all AvoTech sites, SSH-key authentication for server access, encrypted credential storage, and two-factor authentication on administrative accounts. We do not store payment-card numbers on our servers.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International Users

AvoTech is based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be summarized at the top for 30 days after posting.
